Garema Game of Skate
The Garema Place “Game of Skate” in 2008 was a first for Civic. A flat ground competition in the middle of Canberra city. The CSA in conjunction with Shiftys, Communities at Work and Goliath distribution ran a great event. There was no entry fee, a free raffle for product and skateboarders went head to head in the arena, with lots of interest from surrounding spectators. It came down to the wire with Todd Baker, Dean Parsons and Kenny Hammond in the final. Kenny took it out in the end winning the $500 prize.
