Tuggeranong Town Park Upgrade
The Tuggeranong Town Park is undergoing consultation for an upgrade to the master plan. This will result in a plan that could include upgrades to the skatepark in the years to come. Skaters including Head, Chicco, Woody, Dave and Irene (from Trilogy) and Luke Brown attended some in person consultation last night.

In February 2012 the ACT Government commissioned Oxigen to prepare a Master Plan for the Tuggeranong Town Park. The Master Plan will guide the future management, maintenance and upgrade of the park over the next five to ten years. The ACT Government has allocated $80,000 for the preparation of the Master Plan as part of the Town and District Park Upgrade Program.
Tuggeranong Town Park is a popular and important area of open space adjacent to the Town Centre and provides a range of recreational opportunities for the Tuggeranong community. Since the Town Park opened in 1995 community needs and demands have changed with the increase in residential development adjacent to the Town Centre. It is important to plan for the next stage of the park’s life as the demand for higher quality recreational facilities increases.
You are invited to provide input into the draft Master Plan by:
- attending the drop-in consultation at the stage in Tuggeranong Town Park on Thursday 3 May 2012 between 12.30 pm and 2 pm,
- attending the drop-in consultation at Tuggeranong Library on Thursday 3 May 2012 between 5.30 pm and 7 pm,
-
completing the feedback form.
Consultation closes 5 pm Friday 18 May 2012.
Following input from key stakeholders and the wider community, a draft Master Plan will be developed and publically displayed in June 2012. The draft Master Plan will also be open to consultation.
