Dean Parsons
You might know Dean Parsons from some of Greenapples flicks like
“Tang” or “Chasing the Dragon,” or maybe from Dean’s recent Krew fame touring with the team around Australia. Or maybe as the tour guide for the Girl team… or maybe as… you get the picture. Dean’s recently relocated from Canberra to Sydney and is still shredding. This Boost clip from Jev Hollis is worth a peep. Keep an eye out for an interview of Dean in the next Half Arsed too
Blackbox Ramp Jam
Alas, the radness of the Blackbox mini ramp was brought to a fantastic end on the weekend. A sick sesh, bbq and beers to send it off in style. The warehouse is moving and the ramp can’t come so Barnaby invited some crew to touch it up good and proper for one last time.
1st Jack Fardell
2nd Jeff “Skunk” Williams
3rd Max Schubert
4th Andrew Currie
5th Pat Dandy
6th Lakyn Heperi
Some of the highlights also were Jack Fardell’s front blunt on the big extension, Lakyn Heperi’s Ice Plant off the wall back to fakie, Bugs Fardell’s gap up to crail on the big extension, Skunkos all round massive bag of everything, all the finalists, Reece Warren… and on and on and on. Awesome!

Belco upgrade August
Tenders for the Project Manager and Design Consultancy have now closed. They will be announced shortly.
The Canberra Skateboarding Association has put together a collaborated document based on the years of consultation that have occurred regarding the Belconnen Skatepark. The document contains researched and referenced details that aim to assist the process of the Belconnen upgrade. It identifies the key themes that make up the existing Belconnen design and suggests new options in line with these themes that are current with developments in skatepark technologies and maintenance. It acknowledges the success of the park being able to last for twenty years and still remain utilised, as well as welcoming this opportunity for its redevelopment.
The document has been formally submitted to the
Minister for Territory and Municipal Services for consideration.
